contingent of Smergs didn't miss this VIP day!!
The day was chosen when an even number turned up in order to give more equal competition in true SMERGS spirit!

Event:
The premier event on the SMERGS calendar
THIRTEENTH ANNUAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
(hereinafter referred to as ‘The
Championship’) for the
QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY REPUBLICAN
TROPHY (the ‘BEIGE JACKET’)
ROYAL NORTHBRIDGE G.C. – Monday 14th June 2010
The Championship shall be played over 18 holes. The first tee will be
available from 6.30 am. All competitors should be on the first tee for the
‘Call to Order’ by 6.20 am.
Groups shall be determined using the traditional SMERGS method.
Players shall be required to contribute 3 new
individually-boxed golf balls each (balls to match the boxes, please;
Rockets acceptable) by way of entry fee.
Gimmes – within 30 cms
Lost ball / OOB – play provisional; if no provisional ball played, nearest
point on fairway to where ball lost or boundary crossed – penalty of stoke
and distance.
Tees – white

Club Champion Winner: Net stroke
score for 18 holes (Champion’s Beige Jacket plus x balls plus
trophy)
Front 9 Net stableford score (excluding
winners of events 1 and 3)
Back 9 Net stableford score (excluding
winners of events 1 and 2)

Teams Based on average net score
In the event of a tie, the winner shall be determined by countback based on the relative aggregates of groups of 3 holes.
